Brother are you okay? It seem like you be going through it lol
I am. I think I’m close to collapsing again. Fear and paranoia is taking over. And I want it to end. I might end up admitting back into mental hospitalization.
Drake fans, what moment was bigger?
Back2Back
Not Like Us
As a person who prefers Kendrick, I think it’s one of those things that time will tell.
Back 2 Back was the biggest diss of the 2010s easily. S*** helped catapult Drake onto a different level. You hear 2 seconds of that beat and you just feel the hype.
BUT, Not Like Us outreach is honestly super impressive. I’ve seen black people, white people, Hispanic people, kids, college kids, anime nerds, Reddit nerds, casuals just absolutely in love with this song. It might go down as one of the greatest disses of all time. I think Drake can even respect its successful execution even if he thinks the content is bullshit.
Time will tell here. But NLU is undoubtedly the biggest diss song we’ve seen since B2B and probably will be the biggest for a long time. Kendrick made the right choice letting it marinate.
Considering Drake stans love to talk about the charts Not Like Us peaked at Number 1 and B2B peaked at 21.
Wasn't Back to Back before Views? That's when Drake broke into the mainstream for real so that beef just wasn't even as big of a deal as this one was

In your opinion how was Views when Drake broke into the mainstream for real? I feel like Drake been a big artist since Take Care

Nah Drake been mainstream since 2009, it’s just streaming took over the charts in 2015 and Drake figured out how to work the algorithm to his advantage. If streaming had been a thing moreso during NWTS or Take Care, he definitely would’ve already passed MJ record.

I think pre-Views he was one of, if not the biggest rapper. Post-Views he has been one of, if not the biggest musician. It's just a different level
I been nauseous all day thinking I’m gonna die cause of fire ants. One bite will send me over the edge mentally. I ain’t slept well in over a week

Not Like Us. Streaming is bigger now and more people are on the internet now compared to 2015.
They are the same type of song for their respective beefs though

Idk. Drake been the biggest rapper but when you talk biggest "musician" in general than you gotta put him against acts like Taylor Swift and she was having a crazy run around that same time

Yea pre-streaming Weeknd stopped Drake from getting a #1
Obviously Back2Back, it was performed for a year straight and in Meeks city, If Lamar Duckworth wants to surpass this moment, he must perform Not like us for 2 years straight!
NLU is gonna be a live staple for the rest of Kendrick’s career
And it’s fs getting blasted in Toronto on tour
NEED EUPHORIA LIVE IN CHICAGO

Yeah T Swift number one for sure. But I think Views and everything after put him number 2 and into that conversation. My only point is he's a lot bigger now than he was when Back to Back came out

Definitely NLU even if I’m not too crazy over it
If you say so man. He surpassed his leaders and I can admit that as a Kendrick fan. He did what he did in his time, gave a lot of classic rap records and pop records that will be played forever, even outside the numbers.
Is what it is man. I don’t like the dude, but re2pect
The same people you named, Drake had even bigger hit records during his time working with them even in 09’. That’s why Ye was so scared
That’s my whole thing tho. Take away the popularity, take away the fame, take away the charts, take away popular music and just go song for song, album for album. Does drake have anything better than Kendrick? Cole? Jay Z? Kanye? Wayne? Eminem? Is his future collab album as good as watch the throne? Any OutKast album?
Like who is drake BETTER than? Because he sells more than everyone, more famous than everyone, “richer” than everyone, more popular than everyone, but why doesn’t he make better music than his peers.
Drake is a better celebrity than just about every rapper ever, but far from the best musician.

You still off that Delta 8?

I'm taking NWTS over Damn every day of the week
And a few albums from those other artists you listed
I listened to Utopia once one time through and never went back honestly. I should listen to it again. It’s like I liked some songs but It didn’t hit me the same way his older albums did when they dropped
