which L is bigger? Drake bowing out to Pusha-T or Kendrick?

    recency bias and all

Push, easily. He exposed some hurtful things and brought the receipts and he had Drake making statements, interviews and not responding at all

I don’t have a problem with dancehall/reggae/afrobeats since that culture is actively around him and he took the time to actually go to these places and help prop up there future stars like Wizkid, Tems, and legends like Popcaan and Rihanna (though she’s more afro pop)

Also having Mavado co-sign you and bring you to Jamaica to perform. OVO Sound Radio was literally started as a dancehall/reggae radio station because he really wanted to pay respect to Jamaica.

The Drake vs Wayne tour literally came from Drake wanting to pay respect to soundclash. Most niggas who think he stole from Jamaican artists probably don’t even know wtf that is lmao.

He’s even doing dancehall dances taught by a Jamaican choreographer in hotline bling, but I bet nobody cares to know about that

idk I think people just really don’t like that bro got successful as he did trying something new with people he extensively worked with who thought they were real life friends and not just business partners. Like Future played himself when he already got mad over Drake flexing on him in 2011 by Drake but that money meant more than standing on business for 12 years.

again, people not understanding TORONTO is the real issue here. They legit think Drake thinks he’s jamaican/british road man/French lover etc.

Em fans love avoiding race talk by all means.

How do you claim to be a HipHop fan but avoid talking about race in HipHop?

Same reason you're more likely to find Eminem fans who don't listen to rap except him

Meanwhile you got kids at a birthday party rapping about Baka’s legal history and Drake being a pedo. It’s not even close.

lowkey the biggest L Drake took in this beef is posting the curated text convo with his Mom calling Ross racist like a Karen. Who told him that was a good idea

yeah i’m not ignoring any goodwill he has in that world bc toronto has a crazy west indian population, just lining out a pattern

but even past that, within hip hop specifically there’s zero beating the wave riding and colonizing allegations

(i also don’t hate drake, was a big fan for quite some time)

He didn't respond to TSOA which was a scathing attack exposing multiple things that made people look at him in a weird way. He bowed out.

Drake having a secret child was worldwide news. Everyone knew what had happened due to TSOA. Bron interview.. That was the biggest defeat in terms of a rap battle
