Jun 29, 2024·edited·1 replyBeen saying this for a while now but I do believe the wierd cult following that Yandhi garnered and all of its songs and never knowing which one was the real vs what got leaked vs who edited what is an incredabily large immersive rabbit hole that is more effective at story telling and fan enjoyment than any marketing trick any AnR could come up with. The lore and community around it is something very interesting in terms of that way fans got involved to create their own versions.
DIIV did some amazing marketing for their new album with 2 immersive websites that reminded me of the whole Yahndi thing
