He can still drop hits for sure but the commercial peak of 2015-2018 is never coming back. You won’t see Hotline Bling, One Dance or Gods Plan from him again.

Jul 5, 2024Nocta40Nah I don’t think he would’ve. I just wish drake wouldn’t have engaged (especially making it personal) for of a couple reasons
- after FATD dropped he said he was taking a break due to health issues. That never happened.
- he had just ended a huge tour that had be ongoing for almost a whole year so he was pretty vulnerable/tired (not trying to cope I just think it’s a legit point)
- he just seemed gassed from the beginning. Pushups rollout was messy, Cole situation muddied the waters, etc.
I’m just summarizing my thoughts. There’s more but those are the main points.

As corny as it sounds he’s given me so much music that holds importance in my life I’d be much happier to see him heal as a person and overcome this than worrying about immediate music tbh
