Do you think they met up after the show or was it an intimidation tactic
It was a seduction tactic.
If Kendrick doesn't drop an album within the next 60 seconds, Drake won.
It was a seduction tactic.
did Kendrick leak the papiconda and that’s why they beefing?
chose the worst possible approach man lol
Not saying I agree with it, but he could've called Kendrick a huge hypocrite and how he's exploiting black people for his own gain. He could've done it way more nuanced and sophisticated, but he was an idiot about it.
1) Kendrick makes a song about complexion, another song has lines about natural hair, etc, but keeps messing with white girls. The white girl thing no idea if its true or not. In Mr. Morale, Kendrick admits to messing with white girls back in the day. When he first started. Not right now. Drake implies that's what he's actually into in Family Matters. So run with this narrative and be like look he's just saying these things for an image/money. HIs actions are the opposite.
2) Can talk about how pro-black Kendrick is, TPAB was about the black struggle, but when the struggle came to the forefront in 2020 and when people called upon him, he was ghost and two years later talks about how he chose himself (I choose me, I'm sorry) and how all of that is fake activism.
Once again I don't agree with these points, but it was easy to flip it to his advantage. But it would've needed Drake to actually study Kendrick's music and take this battle seriously. He clearly didn't. Or maybe he isn't capable of doing it.
Kendrick clearly was studying Drake for years, but to be fair to Drake, Drake puts everything out there, while Kendrick is very hidden. It's way easier to "study" Drake than it is to study Kendrick.
I just want to know Drake's initial reaction to MTG. Would love to have been a fly on that wall.
We got his initial reaction, he couldn't even pretend to smile on that ig post with caption spamming laugh emojis
to be a fly on the wall when he was popping champagne only to hear it dropped tho, maaaaan
Step 3 is the Diddy party

let me break it down for you the real diddy fo challenge 😒
You need to know that love is ETERNITY and trumps all pain
I'll tell you who your father is, just play this song when it rains

I think drake offended he didn't endorse the vid via sharing it on social media. How is he to know kendrick even watched it??

backstage in my city it was friendzone
Drake is the progressive vision for rap. Global, with success determined by quantified quotas. Embracing the new streaming model and playing it like a game, using all sounds and genres as tools with rap being just one of them
Kendrick is the conservative model. He doesn’t want to be a new exciting thing, he wants to emulate the greatness of the legends that inspired him. He reveres the traditions of the rappers who paved the way for him and uses his music to get people to revere them too. He’s holding onto a vision of rap that he knows is fading but uses that to his advantage and knows that he can stand out because of it. Drake thinks in the new globalized streaming world, the GOAT is simply whoever is at the top of the charts, but Kendrick still believes in the traditional idea of “the rap game”.
Fully agree

Kendrick was literally out there protesting in 2020 in Compton, and Drake wasn’t. Making a song about it wouldn’t have mattered since Alright was the anthem. It wouldn’t have made since since Drake only donated out of pressure
Even he's like "man f*** Drake" lmao
