To be honest man, I think it was the totality of the situation. Multiple factors were at play.

• he admitted he had a terrible publishing deal with tricky Stewart and never received one publishing check for any of the drake songs he’s credited on
• Meek put the spotlight on him and not in a good way.. kinda tainted his rep without him even doing anything wrong
• think OVO just cut ties because they just didn’t want to deal with the situation as a whole.

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what caused him to be completely Cutoff but I would say those are three major or main points.

Think it's because he went from presenting himself as an "ally" (couldn't find the right word) and then somewhere along the line, began openly antagonizing them. He's not the only one who does this in rap (Future does this too), but with Drake I guess it was more jarring?

Drake needs to rebrand as a feminist and drop some electronic positive women focused love songs and maybe some introspective sing songs

Take a little break from the rapping tough talk

Remind people of the side that made drake unique in the first place before he was taken over by Andrew Tate style influencers

This was the rollout for Scorpion (well, that also had the tough talk) and to say it worked is an understatement. I'm ready for whatever forward-thinking idea he might have. It's just that when in the moment, it gets hard to see the extent of the damage that this beef has done, but IF there's a case that's being built against his camp in the background, ain't no telling what the future holds. Gonna be interesting to hear what he raps about next.
