i'm talkin more from a legal standpoint but you right
Megan was ready
but I get what you saying
In my top 5 Kendrick songs with
Sing About Me
Momma
Mother I Sober
Wesley’s Theory
It would be so hard for me to make a top 5 but Sing About Me and FEEL are definitely in it.
I wish Kendrick kept that OG element and made that s*** full tho smh. best f***in beat on god
SOB did pretty good with the beat tho. Not even mad
Do people realize how dark DAMN is?
like kendrick was really contemplating that he was cursed as f*** barely on the third track in
If u dealt with any of the issues he’s talking about on there or know people close to u that have
Mr Morale is an insane album
Mr Morale was the victim of bad timing.
It came out in 2022 right when things were reopening and people were starting to go outside again, and they wanted escapism after dealing with such a harrowing time mentally.
And Kendrick went “NAH LOOK IN THIS MIRROR LIKE I HAVE”
And people went “Nope”
If u dealt with any of the issues he’s talking about on there or know people close to u that have
Mr Morale is an insane album
My second fave unironically.
More life way better than Views. Views anticipation had me hyped until release day
I remember when Views was gonna be Views From The 6 and was toted as "his experimental" album
allhiphop.com/news/drake-views-from-the-6-kanye-west-808s-heartbreak-coachella-2015
I was so disappointed with the final result
It’s good but the lowkey production didn’t do it for me
Most of it solid tho
its got like a theatre performance/play vibe to it
I remember when it dropped the same day as Carti self titled
Two classics that couldn’t be any different
What a time
Bro, I gotta a serious question for you..
Would you tell me what you like in Carti? This is the most meaningless, weak and s***ty rapper of all time, he aint even a rapper, this is some crossover between human and alien.. and he sounds like someone is killing a pig.. what the hell you find in him
IMO the best Drake record of all time
Get on the beat
Ride that s***
Talk your s***

Yeah it’s tough as hell, he’s just got so many good songs.
The bad songs of his I could count on 1 hand
My second fave unironically.
it’s at least as powerful as tpab if not more
Obv TPAB made waves but this one hit way deeper and focused in on more specific personal issues people have
Maybe he wanted tpab to do that but wasn’t ready
(this post might sound dumb though)

The Channing Tatum bars didn't get you going?

mother i sober alone got me into therapy so thats ones gonna be biased af for me

Gotta go thru it to get it. I remember 17 came out by X (say what you want about that album, I love it) and my friends were saying “no one wanna hear that sad ass s***” but a couple months later he really enjoyed it and he admitted he couldn’t identify with the album cuz he hadn’t been thru depression like that yet

This ain't Free Smoke sir
I do wish Kendrick had promoted Morale a little differently. It didn’t really end up having any hits. N95 was probably the closest, but it didn’t really have the staying power of some of his previous hits.
Even TPAB, has King Kunta and Alright.

i kinda knew something was up once they said the album was just called views. and the meme of drake being on the needle. lol

Nah I completely get what you saying, but I'm also dumb soo....
Newark lol been majority black and brown since the riots… Latin Americans and central and South Americans… Portuguese baddies too. but the city starting to aim to make downtown look like bushwick soon
Oh yeah out there it's mad Jenny's from the block
Facts
Except all of his albums have been conceptual in nature, even DAMN (although that was a very loose concept).
Would love to see let loose and just have fun on the next one. He’s 100% earned an album of him just s*** talking.
I saw a fan theory years ago that each Kendrick album is conceptually a different story telling medium. Take with a grain of salt but interesting nonetheless imo.
S80: Book. Track titles include Chapter 6 & Chapter 10.
GKMC: Movie. Title includes “A Short Film by Kendrick Lamar. Cinematic in nature along with the story-like interludes
TPAB: Letter or Poem. I remember you was conflicted
DAMN: Magazine or Play. Highlighted by the album cover and all caps title tracks
MMTBS: Therapy Session
