What I see in Carti he’s the first and greatest post-rap rapper

From early on he saw that in mainstream rap, the lyrical aspect of rap was heading towards irrelevancy, and that the technical ability, the part that enhances the production and contributes to the greater vibe, was becoming more prevalent. He doubled down on this to the point where his use of his voice was more of a compliment to the production than a vehicle to “say” something. I always took his role in music as more of an executive producer/curator/late Kanye type figure.

One of his new songs, 2024, is like the pinnacle of this. The priority isn’t to bar out. It isn’t even to necessarily “go hard”. It’s simply to sound pleasing on quality production and get stuck in your head, sort of like what dance/electronic producers set out to do. He is very explicitly not interested in the traditions or standards of “rap”, and his vision for this is clear, which is why I said he’s the blueprint for a “post rapper”. And in my opinion thats very interesting and I think his music is dope. But I can understand why someone who doesn’t care about that would be unenthused by his music. I personally think the single packs he dropped last winter are some of his finest works to date and that he’s only getting better. When you look as a producer, sort of like a Rick Rubin type figure, and NOT as a rapper (and again I understand some ppl may take issue with this philosophy, but Carti has never said he wanted to be a great rapper, or compared himself to any lyrical legends like that) he’s actually an incredibly progressive musical figure, pushing the sound in directions we haven’t seen before. He’s one my favorites of all time and if any of what I said made sense id implore you to check out his new s***.

Infinitely better space. Kept the s*** quiet for so long so once I actually let every out out to the therapist it very much relieved alot of tension inside. Sometimes its a day to day thing though, so I just stay with it.

I think this type of music Drake makes gets lost in the music he releases along with it, it's not really meant to be a hit or sell well just him talking how he really feels

From what I remember ak hired some failed rapper called lil boom to moderate his chat, he was creeping on the girl reddit ak users trying to coax them to kick it with him in order to get "chat queen" status (cringing just typing this)

He banned a bunch of ppl that were trolling ak in his comments about his case, they made a separate sub reddit and dug up dirt on him, started calling him Lil Groom 🤣

Found old news articles and s*** about weirdo Walmart incidents. AK goes on his stream says "fuck yall grooms my guy my friend that ain't s***" then trap lore ross drops the Walmart surveillance video showing him slithering around Walmart and rubbing up on underage girls, redditors from there found old snap videos of him pulling up p*** on his phone in electronics and trying to pull it up on their laptops
