I'm a huge fan of movies actually. I try to go to the cinema at least once a week.

I do happen to cringe whenever some lame like Spielberg has to drown out a genuinely well written and acted scene with some loud ass strings.

Tangentially related, one of my favourite quotes is by a musicians named mark Hollis. He said when he makes music, his moto is better 1 note than 2 and better no notes than 1. His goal is to create silence. Super interesting and I incorporate it into my own visual art drawing practise by taking the same reductive approach. A lot harder to strip something down to it’s essence than see how much you can add.
