Absolutely not. I really didn’t know what drake was alluding to on Taylormade freestyle talking about “the next one will really bring out the coward in you” so I was like okay I’m rocking with the confidence. Tbh I was kinda disappointed that Drake took the DV route.

Like yeah, 2 albums dissing, clown behavior from metro, blah blah, but it wasn’t worth it to go that far with Kendrick. Kendrick has always kept it competitive and I feel like family matters was an extension of how Drake REALLY felt in 2018 after adidon but couldn’t/wouldn’t respond. Whatever the truth is there well never know. I know I’ll catch some flack for admitting that from my fellow 🦉’s but it is what it is.

The rap radar interview after adidon has a lotta clues actually, well, not about the DV s*** but about what drake thinks wins a battle

Yeah it does. Which is kinda why I feel this way about this beef. He keeps applying this one size fits all approach and that’s just not at all how this works. You have to break your opponent down to their strengths and weaknesses. It’s not always about who can take it the furthest or who mentions who’s wife or loved one quicker, etc.

I only glanced at this craziness out of curiosity and saw that prosthetic story. That story is hilarious though

Common, Budden, Meek were all traditional rappers who were pretty easy to wrap up in Drake's generic beef narrative. I can see why he was confident, Back to Back was such a big W even though it really wasn't a crazy diss record in retrospect

in a way he's unlucky that Kendrick and Push both came at him, I can't think of many other rappers who'd actually be as calculated as either of them were in beef

He knew better to not respond to Ye while he's in his current state

You can tell YE is fully ready to crash all the way out to end Drake right now

Ong i feel like Drake was actually hella cautious when it came to beef until the Meek thing, he handled that beef so well I get why he felt untouchable after

He's a one trick pony when it comes to beef tbh. That's why he always runs the same play and starts talking about niggas girls
