Very mature song. It's actually a good song in isolation.

4YEO is basically the story of how a man goes from selling crack to falling in love and starting a family. But then he dies.

This entire album is a tape he created for his daughter to listen to after he's gone.

So Cole wanting to do a song like that sort of fits the family theme of the album

The problem that track is #8 on a 10 song album and it's relatively weak. This is the last song he really raps on before his closing song.

One of the many problems with how Cole executed on 4YEO.
