serenadei agree. his midlife crisis villain era hasn't done anything good for his public perception, his legacy, or his mental state. he doesn't have to take five years off to get his mind right like kendrick, but chilling out for like a year or two and coming back with a well thought out album that isn't so angry and bitter would go a long way to help him win over the public again.

Tbh I don’t agree. But I do think his output after more life isnt quite as good as what he was doing from TC- Views. (Still great though) And as a nerd on a forum who knows nothing about him or his process, I would imagine the high output has something to do with it. He also probably doesnt have as many ideas as before, like he probably spent his whole life planning TC and his first albums. Then the albums after he has like a year to make. I think this problem is general is why a lot of artists second albums arent anything like their debuts. But the problem can worsen after even more albums

Smacked VoodooHe's earned that luxury. S***, Drake is another person who could stand to take a long break from dropping and if he comes back people are still gonna listen.
I don't know what people try to act like it's different with Kendrick or that he's unable to do that despite his catalog.
I think that whole standard should die off the same way others have. Niggas pick and choose tho and that’s cool but when you are at the level all three are at, they should be allowed time to craft projects, especially Cole and Kendrick who seem to really focus on crafting albums.
They aren’t in the position of many stars of the past that were pigeonholed on f***in 20 album deals, and they don’t need to get “hot”. I would’ve liked to hear Kendrick more as well so I get it being a critique towards him and imma Curren$y so ofcourse I pay respect to those who flood the streets but I appreciate artist taking their time.
