If you looked at Kendrick Lamar to be the savior of black people because of Music that’s on you. Niggas don’t have this energy towards artist making music that is detrimental to the community and fueling the actual issues we deal wit but upset at the nigga making ”uplifting” music for not doing what you feel is enough.

I think, for good reason, the greats are all verified Album Artists. Kanye is the blueprint for this. Kendrick not far behind. Drake sold off his legacy of TC, NWTS, and IYRTITL in exchange for mid to bad albums with lucrative singles. You can only be a great and do that for so long.

I will always revere those afformentioned Drake albums, but I can’t speak for the general public so long as his legacy of albums gets diluted by entire albums with only a few memorable songs.

Anyone can make hits. Drake especially can. No one will deny that. Greats lock in and make albums.
