That's how he felt afterwards
The Money (Drake)
Power (J. Cole)
Respect (Kendrick)
Spirit (Logic)
A****** (Kanye West)
I hope his track aint consist of that because that's kinda played out and won't go down well with most of the public
You know it will lol he still dangles that s*** over Weeknd whenever he feels like dissing him
Go ahead and strike through drakes name. He has a zero percent chance of winning this.

Drake can use this Cole s*** to his advantage, he’s not out yet

I hate it cause of the pew pew pew chorus, but he did really well with his verses
He's still being overshadowed by the big 3 convo
I like the song, but it's not a Big Sean song lol
How tough is his opposition if he’s been looked at as the guy since like 2014?
You sound like you believe the mob boss talk.
Once again it's ok to sit things out
But yes, being the guy since *2010 brings envy. Mainly through Puff, Jay, and Ye
This reminds me of that time my friend asked me to be his groomsman but we hadn’t really been close in awhile and I didn’t feel like I deserved it but I accepted anyways
well thats the thing about hip hop, its very common here too, it just is sacrilege for some reason to have it known lmao. Push and Royce will never say who all they write for, but theyve made it public knowledge theyve written a metric f*** ton of songs and a lot of them for people you would never think used a ghostwriter
very common meme i say is royce ghostwrote the entire industry
probably a lot more true than i know tbh
Very true
Maybe this is something that needs to be acknowledged & embraced more
If that happens then we really can’t say s*** about Drake
But I’m assuming Kendrick & Cole write for themselves for the most part so Drake still would be at a disadvantage there
Genuine question, when was the last time Drake got a multi-week #1?
Imma need you to break down how Drake can be #1, or even if you want to put Kendrick above him, and say Drake 2, say he’s an underdog? He still ain’t an underdog in this situation. It’s as equal as it’s gonna get lmao. Y’all are just shooting excuses up for the boy preemptively.
I aint making excuses I have no dog in this fight. What I'm saying is that Kendrick's side seems to be the one that's winning atm and a lot of people have already counted Drake out. That is what I meant. Drake's side is kind of in shambles atm. And anything less than a literal perfect banger diss will get him laughed out of the room
Go ahead and strike through drakes name. He has a zero percent chance of winning this.
Slow down whippersnapper.
Hahaha fair
I interpret it as
The Money = Drake the most commercially successful of the 3. Breaking records on records
The Power= Cole had that underdog relatability factor that moved people and made them get behind him. They saw themselves in him. The power to move people.
The Respect = Kendrick is respected by critics and fans in a way the other 2 aren’t. He got people envious of him and also quiet as a mouse when he starts up.
J. Cole bowing out of the beef:

Drake can use this Cole s*** to his advantage, he’s not out yet
Coke already used an angle Drake could use.
Kendrick can also use the cole thing by saying you said you and Cole like the Spider-Man meme and he waved the white flag.
Feel like it’s different for RNB & Pop tho since the majority of artists have writers
to be fair it goes both ways too though, just because you are an immaculate writer doesnt mean you are the best at flowing or singing or rapping too
Skylar Grey is a great example of that, even though i think she has some great songs of her own too
Honest question:
As it is factually known Drake has ghost writers, can he still be considered as one of the best rappers?
For the “real hip hop” head crowd, yes in their eyes that title is forever going to allude Drake. He’s disqualified.
For the.. “above average hip hop fan” not quite die hard, but not a casual either type of fan, which I consider myself, I think he is. He’s easily top 10 today if he never made another song or did another verse.
For me a rapper needs to/should be responsible for writing at least 80% of their lyrics. Ain’t no way to literally quantify and verify it, but that’s the line for me. We all know Drake has written for other people, so we know he has a pen. The ghostwriter stuff definitely chinked his armor though. He’s certainly 1 or 2 for this generation.
