Honestly this was a s***ty tactic by Metro and future. Kendrick’s the only one that can go bar for bar with Drake but bringing in guys like Abel and Rocky only gave Drake easy targets and detracted the momentum Kendrick was having.

I don't discredit anything The Weeknd does in terms of Drake

He got put on to the industry by OVO, that's a fact
He also contributed some vocals to Take Care

He felt like he would be shelved/smaller on OVO so he left, that was smart by him
But the narratives about him being a writer forever jsut don't hold with me cause

1. He already had great music that was out there and promoted by Drake
2. OVO allows their artists to do exactly what they want
3. Why would Drake not be exciting about having the R&B/Pop equivalent on OVO right next to him, it would've made him money

After that it's just petty stuff between the two of them
