Then why say it in response to him? Thats what he does he doesnt just do it for kendrick
https://twitter.com/dissectpodcast/status/1706694449643069766Hes doing a whole podcast dedicated to a radiohead album rn
I said "Kendrick stans" at the beginning of the sentence, that's who im talking about, it's not that serious
Damn wasn’t even the best project released on April 14th
😯if carti dropped die lit instead of self titled you may have had an argument
i was gonna say why some of y'all so pressed but then I remember this thread has 608 pages lol
Kendrick fans write paragraphs a***ysing his wordplay
Drake fans write paragraphs explaining which woman he is sneak dissing on his latest track

I said "Kendrick stans" at the beginning of the sentence, that's who im talking about, it's not that serious
You said kendrick stans in reply to him implying hes a kendrick stan
Its not that serious you’re getting extra attention because niggas been saying s*** then walking it back this whole thread
Not offended, as a matter of fact I love his music, but the discourse around Kendrick has always being ridiculous, since Hiipower lmao
Sure people can go over the top and go deeper than they need to go, but Kendrick has had really cool metaphors and double/triple ententes his whole career I don't see why the dissect guy has been getting clowned the last 200 pages
His mama died, I asked him why he goin' back to work so soon?
His first reply was, "Son, that's life, and bills got no silver spoon"
Daddy issues, f*** everybody, go get your money, son
Protect yourself, trust nobody, only your mama n' em
This made relationships seem cloudy, never attached to none
So if you took some likings around me, I might reject the love
Daddy issues kept me competitive, that's a fact, nigga
I don't give a f*** what's the narrative, I am that nigga
Had that exact conversation in the first four lines with my dad when his dad and mom died and my life has been the rest of the verse after that
I just like how he wraps the whole song acknowledging that these relationships with fathers isn't healthy, acknowledges men who grew up without fathers and the struggles that can come with it and salutes them for figuring it out right, and stresses the importance of breaking these cycles so that women won't have to suffer due to the upbringing of their father being present or non-present.
You just can't and likely won't get a track like Father Time from Drake, which is a damn shame seeing as he's a father now too.
Throwaway track btw

Really love Kendrick in the first minute here
😯if carti dropped die lit instead of self titled you may have had an argument
Oh get the f*** outta here
Really love Kendrick in the first minute here
pause
"His lyrics don't even make sense!"
insert breakdown of lyrics
"shut up nerd 😡😡"
They use Kendrick to get off their anti-intellectualism as they think that makes them look less nerdy. The gag is: only big ass nerds looking to overcompensate care to s*** on Kendrick in this way
Can’t listen to fear too much
too depressing at times
I skip the first verse. That "I beat your ass" repetition ruins it for me
Kendrick fans write paragraphs a***ysing his wordplay
Drake fans write paragraphs explaining which woman he is sneak dissing on his latest track
And you sit dissecting which fans do which
kinda gay
I skip the first verse. That "I beat your ass" repetition ruins it for me
