I think it started in a similar fashion to what probably happened with a lot of these other guys where he started feeling a way about a lot of his biggest stuff being associated with Drake (I also get the impression Drake is either kind of a bully or has a way of getting people to give him songs that they later end up regretting but that’s tangential).

Then I think it came to a head more after Her Loss where it was getting a lot of plays and recognition and metro felt his other stuff wasn’t getting the attention it warranted so he got more in his feelings and was liking tweets taking digs at Drake.

And at a similar time Drake tried to force himself onto Trance (which honestly, good call, metro f***ed up not taking his verse) but metro didn’t want the same pattern so he said no and then it happened to leak anyway (likely by Drake’s camp). I think that was the last straw.

iirc, the reddit insider who leaked that drake and future weren't f***ing with each other said it's because future and metro agreed drake was stealing too much of ATL's sauce and it was time to ice him out. i don't remember if that was the only reason, but it was a big part of it.
