Push actually indirectly made this harder for Kendrick because now Kendrick gotta come with something harder than “you are hiding a child” to win this
also whether you hate him or not, think the diss is trash or not, for Drake to go from being labeled soft early in his career to the guy thats sparred with just about every major rapper in his era, is somewhat impressive. this guy is hip hop. cant take that away from him, he’s earned that respect

There's so many different angles to take this though
One of the worst parts of drake not officially releasing his response is the fact there has gotta be a better song name he could’ve gone with other than “push ups” or “gimme 50” or whatever s*** were calling it
Song doesn't even have an official name and won't get those week one boost in sales cause the shock value gone. I'm back and forth on if XO leaked it tbh

He’s got the scar from Meek for ghostwriting and the humbling of Story of Adidon. I don’t want to speak s*** into existence but like, Kendrick would have to go on record with some very foul s*** in order to have any meaningful scrape on Drake’s legacy.
Mr. Morale’s underperformance (yeah i said it) proved that whatever skill as a rapper Kendrick has ALONE is not going to cut it in this battle

I respect the response because I think it’s a legitimately good response and I think he’s playing a lot of s*** super smart in that song.
That being said, especially with this beef… there’s something to be said about the fact that the entire industry hates this dude, and from the outside looking in it doesn’t seem commendable lol. Just seems like everyone who gets to know this man ends up disliking him.

Nah punchlines and raps is all he needs. Drake don’t got that on him

I think cause Drake and Kendrick are peers he got something in the tuck to make it interesting

Word up,
And to respond to your last post:
Honestly with Kendrick, if he connects the dots with the lyrics and have a banging instrumental that hip-hop can't deny
He could have something over Push.
I'm a old soul, so I would love to hear Kendrick get on some DJ Quik type production lmfaooo

Fact is neither rapper will decisively win this beef tbh
amazing post I’m kinda dying
For a long time I was so hype to have met Drake even though it was Anita Max Awkward.
Then I met Kendrick years later and the contrast was so jarring it spoiled my memory of meeting Drake so heavily

You can't compare Mr. Morale which was basically a therapeutic piece created for himself to his position and angle in a rap beef. 2 different approaches to Hip-Hop and making songs within it.
We're about to get something crazy.
There is no way Kendrick put out that Like That verse and did not plan for what happens next. He literally says in the verse “it's time for him to prove that he's a problem”.

Lol there is so much post Adidon that has happened to Drake in the public eye alone that kendrick could feast, let alone things we don’t even know about that Kendrick would be privy to.
