i think the big thing that keeps drake separated from his peers in not having his gangsta persona taken seriously is his voice

I mean Push actually live that s*** tho, despite what his old manager said.

His punchlines on the last two albums been mid. More like similes

whether you think they mid or not is entirely separate from saying he doesnt have punchlines at all lmao

Ye is my all time favorite so writing isn’t the end all be all for me but it’s funny how Drake fans tried to pin this s*** on Kendrick just for a Drake reference to leak hours later

    Wait what reference track

Nah, it needed to be said, hes really short and its funny he cant be too tough tbh; giving 50 to Top Dawg is a fact - his camp prolly leaked info.

"Fact" "leaked info". Still no receipts lol

Kendrick gets his props for starting it but the Like That frenzy reaction was mainly because it came out of nowhere and we all thought this would just be a subliminal rivalry forever and ever

Kendrick shouldn’t be judged on it for better or worse and I’ll consider his response to Push Ups as his actual first entry in this beef

This is a good perspective, and I agree. Like That was such a moment largely due to the fact that the subliminal war was ended with it.

It's not taken seriously because Drake is a corny dude, through and through. A talented, massively successful, corny dude. The wording right there is why it's not taken serious, "persona".

Drake stole Ross's whole persona after they did those first few collabs in the beginning of drakes career

started calling himself champagne papi, grew the beard out, calling himself 6god, dressing in lavish miami style pajama clothing

    WESLEYS THEORY

It's one of the things Drake Stans have held over Kendrick Stans for years. The ghostwriting s*** haunts Drakes legacy to this day so they try to take it out on Kendrick in thinly veiled s***posting.

But Kendrick doesn't have a ghostwriter. He is a ghostwriter. He's written multiple tracks for Keem, and he's wrote for Jay Rock and Q before, and there's actual references out there.

Fun fact that kinda sucks, Kendrick wrote Jay Rocks verse on Money Trees.

He also ghostwrote for Ye on All Day and Father Stretch

I feel like KTT2 brainrot made me convinced that Drake actually does run the Toronto criminal underworld

I have told people in real life that Drake could probably get people killed with a straight face
