This has always been my mental block against drake, all that opportunist s***, aligning with trends, artists and moments in culture was always icky to me. It's not a story to go home with you know. But since the two are so different, there can never be a middle ground, I'll listen to drake knowing there's a hollowness to it
I think Drake had good intentions when he started but he got his education in the industry from guys willing to do whatever it meant to be at the top and it shows.
He adopted true Machiavellian ways, clearly studies books that outline how to approach this sociopathic rap industry s*** and lives it to the tee. Nothing is real anymore and he’s perfectly fine with that as long as he gets to be at the popular table. He’s winning and that’s all that matters. Some people can live with that type of outlook and some aren’t cut out for it.
But yeah Ppl are too bipartisan to have objective discussion on damn near anything these days.. everything has to be hyperbolic and meant to trigger somebody else or is taken as a slight or subliminal at the slightest suggestion of being not in alignment with their own personal opinions. It’s a sad reality
