JeffersonSteelflexAt what cost though? Both of their creative careers haven’t been as good when they started relying on writers for these types of songs. Sure we got heat here and there but overall they were both better when they stuck to what sounded great for them

DatPMFYes and no. Kendrick, with great help from his fans, has portrayed himself as being this very artsy and pro black rapper. Therefore seeing him make pop features with the most vanilla acts out there to gain mainstream push is just weird.
Makes more sense if Top made him do it so that he could get some money out of it. This is also not a good look for Kendrick, proving that he wasn't artistically free to do whatever he wanted to do.

I don't believe in boxing artists, it feels very elitist, so this pop feature run matters very little to me. It's fine for what it was.

Money-wise It's all speculation for now, unless more s*** comes out of this beef, but I'm not too big on pocket watching. We'll see if k dot touches on it. Seems like he has to at this point.
From a creative standpoint, him coming out with the albums he came out with under these so called bad conditions, is far from a bad look. Taste is subjective, but it doesn't sound like he was rushing GKMC, TPAB, or DAMN. I won't include Miles Morales, I know how unpopular it is on here.

Drizzy/ovo has a group chat with some of ktt2 most prolific “stans” (you can imagine who i’m talking about) that he uses to control the narrative on here. he won’t always instruct them to be positive, you’ll see that occasionally they’ll praise kendrick or give him props before ultimately saying drake wins to really make the point feel organic. and half yall eat it up
