SFG and TML Drake sounds almost a little naive, a lot “nicer” in his woman related tracks. Take care Drake sounds darker but slowly accepting of his current status and life, NTWS Drake has fully accepted it, IYRT Drake is clearly becoming more “tough” to oppose the soft memes and be taken more seriously, etc

There is no way it’s anything other than this, aggression. If it isn’t it’s highly likely to be disappointing, drake is simply a more clever rapper

All things considered I expected this. Drakes flaws, mistakes, and goofy moments are all out in public’s. Collecting all of them mixed with nice lyricism and energy (and maybe some new info), would hit hard. But I don’t think Drake expects anything less

IYRTITL there was still a cheeky self awareness to the ‘tough’ character, whereas post-SOA he fully internalized it and the music suffered

Yes, views is him fully realizing he’s a pop star/top of the world and celebrating it. More life is an extension of that. Scorpion is pretty dark and grimy relative to other Drake music (tracks like jaded and nonstop), reflecting everything that happened with Pusha T beefs.

Drake playing knife talk while kids get trampled will always be crazy to me . Not cause I think he knew but because live nation did know and actively choose to bring him on stage . Livenation who Drake had a venue with in Canada opening around that time
