Deadass Nas genuinely only has three bad albums (I'm excluding Lost Tapes and Lost Tapes 2 as albums because they were a compilation of leaks and unreleased tracks) the rest are either good, great, or classics.

Honestly, I'm just now realizing how underrated Nas is on here.

S*** is shameful esp. when a nigga on here claimed that Nas raps to rap.

Like wtf? Nas is one of the most complex writers in hip hop.

Who the f*** listens to songs like Rewind, I Gave You Power, Black Zombies, Daughters, and Nobody and thinks "Yeah. This nigga ain't really saying s***."

But it lowkey goes to show the importance of numbers and recency bias. When you don't have that on your side in rap, you basically brushed aside easily until you croak.

Nas is a far better rapper than Kendrick on virtually all levels except concept. Kendrick is really good at concepts and creatively injecting that thematically and sonically onto albums - he’s probably the best mainstream rapper at this besides Kanye. Kendrick is also better in the pop appeal/mainstream friendly sense than Nas, so I’ll give him that also. Basically Nas is basically unbeatable at pure rapping but he can’t really go outside the box of rapping

Anyway Street's Disciple a classic too and aged like the finest of wines.

Uhhh the production is incredible, feels like his comeback album, it’s consistent af, great rapping ofc and each song stands as its own track if you know what i mean, plus the bonus tracks just elevate it even higher. It’s a very important album in his discography and was kinda the first “grown up” album that touched on themes that we hadn’t really seen yet in rap before (correct me if I’m wrong)
