They didn't. It did 745 million US streams and over 1 billion streams worldwide in it's debut week.

Drake is the definition of a mainstream pop star who constantly puts out the most mainstream songs one could imagine, whereas Kendrick hardly ever sacrifices his artistry on his albums, but still...

Kendricks last album, DAMN, which is a 14 song album sold 600k first week

Drakes last album, Scorpion, which is a 25 song album sold 720k first week

This is only a measly 120k more than Kendrick, despite having 11 more songs on his album than Kendrick and having three #1 records as well as the biggest meme song ever (In My Feelings)

Also, Damn was released 3 years ago when Hip Hop still wasnt at peak popularity.

I can GUARANTEE this next Kendrick album will OUTSELL both Drakes and Coles latest projects and I will bump this thread once the prediction comes true (unless the Drake groupie mods decide to lock it).

The whole world is waiting to see if Kendrick will be able to drop his fourth classic in a row, which is enough hype to already generate crazy numbers.

EDIT:

This isnt just some random thread about charts.

This is about the biggest musician on Earth being dethroned once and for all after a long ass reign and Kendrick finally solidifying himself as the real GOAT by having both critical acclaim as well as sales to back up those claims.

This next album will FINALLY put an end to ALL Kendrick/Drake comparisons.

Remember that bundles are no longer a thing and digital sales are dead. All Kendrick will have to go on will be streams. Streams which will be much lower than the streams from DAMN if his next project isn't as commercially appealing as DAMN was. Also, Drake is a bigger streaming artist than Kendrick. You'll lose this bet easily. You just played yourself.
