Hollywood's Bleeding has been out for less than 5 months. DAMN. has been out for 32 months. Relax.

I was clearly talking about first week streams...

Post Malone is a bigger streaming artist than Kendrick. If he isn't doing 400 million US streams first week with his latest album, neither is Kendrick.

Y'all are saying Kendrick will sell 700K FW?

He's 100% not. Kendrick will outdo Post's streaming performance on his next album.

Your posts are usually smart, but this is a dumb post. I'll be sure to refer back to it when Kendrick's first week stream numbers drop.

Post Malone became the artist he is now in the time span since DAMN was released. There's no recent music from Kendrick to even compare which makes this whole point moot. What we do know is that DAMN. was streamed over 340 million times with 13 songs and an interlude at a time when streaming wasn't half as dominant as it is now. So you making these absolute statements is funny. Lil Wayne of all people currently holds the second largest streaming week debut, but apparently you're from the future so you know.

Post Malone has more streams than Kendrick on Spotify and Apple Music, but Kendrick is a bigger streaming artist. Make it make sense. Smh.

I been thinking this for a while too, need another powerful top rollout

Drake is the definition of a mainstream pop star who constantly puts out the most mainstream songs one could imagine, whereas Kendrick hardly ever sacrifices his artistry on his albums, but still...

Kendricks last album, DAMN, which is a 14 song album sold 600k first week

Drakes last album, Scorpion, which is a 25 song album sold 720k first week

This is only a measly 120k more than Kendrick, despite having 11 more songs on his album than Kendrick and having three #1 records as well as the biggest meme song ever (In My Feelings)

Also, Damn was released 3 years ago when Hip Hop still wasnt at peak popularity.

I can GUARANTEE this next Kendrick album will OUTSELL both Drakes and Coles latest projects and I will bump this thread once the prediction comes true (unless the Drake groupie mods decide to lock it).

The whole world is waiting to see if Kendrick will be able to drop his fourth classic in a row, which is enough hype to already generate crazy numbers.

    EDIT:

This isnt just some random thread about charts.

This is about the biggest musician on Earth being dethroned once and for all after a long ass reign and Kendrick finally solidifying himself as the real GOAT by having both critical acclaim as well as sales to back up those claims.

This next album will FINALLY put an end to ALL Kendrick/Drake comparisons.

I honestly didnt think this needed an explanation but yall slow af I guess

Also, yall hatin on me for tryna fit in with yall by discussing sales, but if this thread was about actual music quality it would have never even made it to page 2 🤦🏽‍♂️

Ok and why do you care? What are you getting out of this of your favorite artist is making money? Go and get your bread up dumbass

Post Malome has dropped two albums in the past two years, Kendrick has dropped none.

Lil Wayne's album did those numbers off YEARS of anticipation for Tha Carter V. Those numbers dropped by over 70% in it's second week. The album also had 23 songs.

I'm not. DAMN. was his most accessible album as far as being really mainstream. There's no evidence that he'll go that route again. We also have to consider that.

TPAB was his only non-accessible album. His major label debut had 3 top 40 singles prior to the streamimg era, even TPAB broke Spotify's single day streaming record at the time. Yes you're underestimating him by a lot, but I'll make sure to quote you when his album drops.

People are thirsty for a new Kendrick album. If you don’t think he’s gonna do better streaming numbers than his previous album you’re just a hater brah. If he make another damn or good kid he’s gonna outdo Post easily.

I don't know about easily but he'll outsell him.

Post did 489k fw with HB, I expect Kendrick's next piece to do around 520k with a good rollout.

Doubt it, I guess if he abandoned the whole no feature, no outside production gimmick and had a bloated tracklist it could happen.
