A dispute over cold french fries at a Wendy’s in Kentucky erupted into an exchange of gunfire between a male patron and a female restaurant employee who was shot in the buttocks, according to police who have arrested both pistoleros.
Cops say Monjah James-Wooten, 25, and two associates this month “engaged in a verbal altercation” at the drive-thru window with Twaunesha Coleman, a 26-year-old Wendy’s worker, “over cold fries.”
James-Wooten (pictured at right) and his co-defendants subsequently entered the Louisville eatery, where he allegedly “produced a firearm and fired a shot.” Coleman “returned fire, then the defendant began to fire multiple rounds, one of which struck the victim in the buttocks,” according to a complaint warrant.
A day after the incident, a second woman “contacted police and reported that she had been shot.” The woman reportedly admitted that she had been with James-Wooten at Wendy’s “when he shot her.”
Charged with felony assault, James-Wooten turned himself into police Friday afternoon. He is being held by the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections
Coleman, the Wendy’s worker, is facing serious problems of her own. At the time of the Janaury 6 shooting, Coleman--who was on probation in connection with a conviction on felony theft and gun charges--was legally barred from possessing a gun.
Seen at left, Coleman pleaded guilty in 2022 to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
As a result of the Wendy’s incident, Coleman has again been charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm, a felony for which she is scheduled to be arraigned on February 4. It is unclear if Coleman will also face a probation violation count
two people who seem to be way too emotional to be in possession of guns

u never know who is on the edge these days. never been a better time to mind your own business and deescalate
Idk wassup with all these folks, like the ages 14-25, been so cray
Just now in my country a 14 yr old kid got detained cause he planned an attack on a Islamic church
It's like ppl don't know what to do or live they lives properly anymore, so aimless
And they prolly live in an era where everyone's fighting for praise/attention, due to social media
So ppl do da most f***ed up s*** to get it or are influenced by it
And these ages also are emotionally perhaps less mature, which makes it hard for them to process stuff, specially with all this overload of stimuli
