In 2014 Kesha, after returring from rehab, sued Dr Luke claiming sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment, violation of California's laws against unfair business practices, infliction of emotional distress (both intentional and negligent), and negligent retention and supervision.
She lost the case and Dr Luke was cleared
After the case was over Dr Luke took to twitter and wrote that he was not guilty and claiming that Kesha used the claims to try and get out of her contract and posted prof of Kesha making claims under oath that contradicted her claims against him,
but was publicly judge guilty by many(Fioana Apple, Miley Cyrus, Lorde, Lena Dunham, Taylor Swift etc.)
Today I was reminded of this case as I read an angry twitter users thread about Dr Luke producing Doja Cats nr 1 single "Say So".
After the case Sony removed Dr Luke as a producer on their site and Dr Luke began producing under the name Made in China.
What are your thought on the case?
Why is Dr Luke still publicly judged guilty after the court cleared him?
Is it because she was "the star" that people loved, and he was just a guy in the background?
Is it because he is a man and she is a woman?
Is it because he was guilty but got away with it?

Leaked emails where Dr Luke talk about Kesha's weight :
Quotes from the judge on the case:
"While Kesha's claim alleges that she was sexually, physically and verbally abused by Gottwald for a decade, she describes only two specific instances of physical/sexual abuse,"
"And the most recent event described was alleged to have happened in 2008 and so falls outside of the statute of limitations."
The judge dismissed Kesha's hate crime claim because the filings "do not allege that Gottwald harbored animus toward women or was motivated by gender animus when he allegedly behaved violently toward Kesha ... Every rape is not a gender-motivated hate crime."
Kesha's claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress was dismissed by the judge because "claims of insults about her value as an artist, her looks, and her weight are insufficient to constitute extreme, outrageous conduct intolerable in civilized society.
My own thoughts is that Dr Luke is an a****** but not a criminal, and that the case ruined his career
I see no evidence that Dr Luke did anything illegal.
He seemed like a jerk, calling her out for breaking her diet and pointing out the 1. songwriters would not work with he because of her weight. But being a jerk is not illegal
Believing Kesha just because she is a star and a woman, without any evidence beside " I Believing Kesha" is troubling when there is evidence pointing against her. (Her saying under oath that Dr. Luke did not sexually assault her)
Im big reaching but this sounds like they got laid a couples times, Dr Luke is an a****** and when they got into a nasty fight Kesha thought it was her chance to put him down, as almost everybody knew how douch he is they wouldnt be surprised of this behavior.
Thats why she implied s***stuff but at the same time swore he didnt rape her. Like, almost accepting it was voluntary and not forced.
you can lose a court case even if you have evidence/proof. You have to get a trial for the right thing. If not it can be threw out.
i feel like its a good way to come up as a new artist. work with talented but disgraced producers with nothing to lose
probably been said already, but how did the case ruin his career when he has the #1 song?

Well he spent like 4 years without any hits. This is his comeback hit.
They need to do a Verzuz battle
