There's a bunch of songs I really like but the whole things felt messy and kind of empty to me. Imma give it another spin at the end of the day though to shake the first listen bias

Voyager is AMAZINGGGG

i did like that teezo record and he's older than kevin

my problem is that i feel like we still haven't seen kevin's full potential after all these years. there's always something that's holding me back from loving a full solo project of his from front to back...and i honestly think it boils down to him being more of a conceptual artist than a musician. he's got a vision, but some of the songwriting choices are baffling af to me (today i gave up; heights, spider, and the dark...you can't convince me those effects on his voice mesh well with the loose instrumental)

but then there's strokes of genius like the greys that make me frustrated af. i wish every song on this album was as good as this one

Different but good

Still kinda disappointed this album wasn't in the direction of the 2 singles he dropped 2 years ago, but I think it's a good album for what direction he decided to go. The singles didn't hit until the album dropped for me.

Love this sound

there’s some great moments (i love the guitar tone on here), but it just feels messy imo

Couple more tracks off that scrapped album leaked a few weeks ago and they wete great too. Woulda really enjoyed that album although it was more closely related to the BH sound. This is a nice departure and has some roots to classic kevin and im enjoying it a lot rn, but woulda been nice to have that other project.

Although i really enjoyed the family a lot and that is (although he doesnt see it as such) practically a kevin solo album

He clearly just wanted to depart from the typical BH sound so i’m not mad at this. It’s pretty decent for what it is. It’s a vibe but maybe just not the vibe i’m fully into right now.

Im really enjoying this and glad it’s a style switch. It’s really refreshing, tight runtime and all the visuals hitting
