5g will be an important factor for the internet of things and AI
China's been doing this a lot been interested in this when I saw a documentary a few months ago. They've really thought through the pandemic and post pandemic era since they've been in normal life since the Summer. Obviously a lot of it is automation to save money but it really came at a good time for the past year and revived tech ideas that people considered failures from just a couple years ago
They've got nationwide unmanned stores already where you can just walk in, grab what you need and walk out and it takes the money our of your account automatically
Unmanned deliveries from Alibaba roaming around college campuses and they send you a text once its there so you can grab your items from a locker in the vehicle
They were able to automate deliveries in hospitals to limit unnecessary contact between workers and patients and prevent transmission. It goes on and on i think they have bus/public transport systems that are 5G enabled too in some cities
and we not even talking Shanghai or Beijing, their third tier cities have better tech than some first tier ones
