how long are you going to sit in his deplorable actions and bring it up every single time there is a concert or an album?

you really think you gain something from that? You just look self righteous and morally superior and you are talking to someone who has existed 1.5 as long as you have and has seen homelessness, gun violence, watched people die in real life both strangers those I loved. Went to crime scenes including a drive by outside a funeral home. Driven pepole to hospitals. Seen actual fascism .

I can only take you so serisously lecturing about an artist that made I love it , xstacy and lift yourself

a lot of ppl that were in middle school or high school during 2020 hate it when anyone brings up Kanye ngl

I be in music discords and it’s always some loser kpop Stan still in hs that’s like “can we not talk about kanye, he’s a bad person ok”

so why are only some of them grew up in a difficult environment but others are definitively evil?

    This is relevant.

as i said sosa grew as a person when he was able to leave said environment once he was not a child surrounded by death perpetuating death.

funny of you to assume your the only one to witness these things or something again as if you know me. Again, the thread is about said actions so people have every right to say negative things ab them esp when said negative things were negative and bad. Your the one running defense for dude for some reason. if this topic doesnt interest you simply dont engage

I am not assuming you have never seen great horrors. I am saying part of why many Chicagoans and human beings choose to forgive Ye is because they have also seen great horrors. Experienced great loss that changed them in some ways or someone they love. They choose to not give up on those human beings because eventually we all die. But before we die we can all grow from our darkest moments. Thats the only way a human being like Lupe Fiasco would be on that stage. He doesnt need the money. He doesnt need the clout. That meant something to him to reunite with Ye

yea dawg because our entire basically lucid life hes been on this s*** it may be easier to seperate when youve had an experience of him before it but since before my balls dropped hes been a trump supporter lol that should give you perspective if anything on how long and consistently hes been on this

Durk and Von moved to Atlanta for some there is no escaping the environment. Keef mainly games and avoids going out too much

  • Rosenburg wife is chopped too. It’s always the same pattern with these hip hop “hosts”

Have you considered if since your balls droppped Ye has been a Trump supportere ( very odd way to measure time by the way ) that you possibly in some way shape or form could not understand the history of what he means to so many human beings?

same way I wouldnt really talk too much on a gen z artist.

  • When we were downloading music off limewire no one in their right mind was like "ask jeeves about this artist politics first"

hot take grown ass father of 4 whos been rich for decades being held accountable to his actions is good ! It wasnt dark moments people still associate him with its how he chose to use his resources to affect other people including the way everyone rightfully perceives him! It wasnt like he f***ed up every here and there badly, it was consistent behaviour over a decade! maybe lupe agrees with you or its not unlikely lupe just liked being on a stage that big, you dont know the guy!

  • I watched Seinfeld growing up not knowing he was a zionist and a pedophile the show still slapped

if or when he dies I still will be like "damn"

he still a human being. that people hold memories with . Even if the feelings have changed for the legacy.

He lost his billion dollar deals and has been treated entirely different some will never forgive him. How else do you want to hold him "accountable". In a world where war criminals arent held accountable you want to be sure the artist who created I love it is held accountable.

  • I do know Lupe lol I worked for his foundation. Friends with his brother, sister and met his mom. I again did that all at age 22

    same year GTA V dropped

i was also a kanye superfan at one point and theres other artists who i did witness their primes and have a similar opinion of, your parasocial relationship to an artist or the amount of good songs they have has nothing to do with how morally reprehensible their actions have been and what that shows about their character! Kanye was also playing at birthday parties, cars, and had songs i loved when i was a child! That doesnt change anything!

I’m aware bro but acknowledging a GENOCIDE by ISRAEL does not necessarily entail being a LITERAL RIGHT WING NAZI AS IN GERMAN NAZIS and the youth obsession with it (esp w the leader of said Nazis being a guy who’s big break was Kanye putting him on his PRESIDENTIAL TRAIL) which one of the most legendary biggest artists in the world was using all the influence of which he has some of the most of anyone in the world and his wealth of billions of dollars to normalize and spread

I get your criticism with Kanye for the most part but the electoralism angle is where is you lose me.

Yes, Kanye promoted Trump in 2018-2020 and raised his culture cache. Thats a fact.

But Trump still lost in 2020.

Trump winning in 2024 has NOTHING to do with Kanye. The only people to blame for him being president right now are Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for committing genocide for a whole year straight. 7 million ppl that voted for Biden in 2020 did not vote for Kamala in ‘24 because of Palestine.

Hell, if anything, Kanye was more of a liability FOR Trump post-2020. He’s the one that got Nick Fuentes and Trump to have dinner together, which the media still brings up against Trump to this day. All the right wing influencers that Kanye platformed like Candace and Nick are s***ting on Trump all the time. Even though they’re grifting that don’t change that Kanye has been a net negative to Trump as of late.

Trump was going to win 2016 regardless and Ye wasnt openly pro Trump until after he won. Then he lost 2020 and 2024 again he was going to win.

the idea that Ye is to blame for Trump winning or midterms is absolutely insane with a complete disregard to the reality of our country which I would expect from a 22 year old

ya but you also gotta understand the perspective of those that grew up with him, those that actually worked with him and been there for thru the ups n downs. not everything is black and white. A lot of us just want to see kanye healthy and beloved again because those were great times. He’s always been that artist u was rooting for he seems to always bounce back out of controversy , that is until the next time he does something questionable

I think seeing people go through something its a damn near religous practice to see the person you cared about is still there. They arent evil. They wont die evil. Their soul is there. Even throughout the episodes, mania and hatred he espoused while wanting to see his children. I still always saw that he is a human being.

yea for sure ion think kanye won him the election in 2024 that is way bigger than kanye and theres a oot of factors to that thats not rly what im saying im saying his actions in the first trump term and running, plus his actions in general of furthering more and more right wing ideology alongside platforming people like nick, sneako, milo and candace to the best he could combined with how he promoted christiantiy the way he did, fascist aesthetics, etc etc all played parts in the right wing for young people and POC we see today, the rise of nazism, etc etc

Like yes he directly was a liability for trump in a direct sense in 2024 but also you dont have all these figures of hip hop just being able to hang out wiht trump and endorse him publicly without kanye breaking that unprecedented door, you dont get the huge boosting of nick fuentes and groypers, you dont get one of the biggest redpill creators whos entire identity is based around kanye, you lose out on sooo many young people who got roped into the right wing rabbit hole online from defending their fav artist in the mid-late 10s or saying kanye for president, buddy was on global news spitting black republican talking points with ppl taht would otherwise never connect to that s*** saying "damn yea! we arent a monolith kanye is a trailblazer cuz hes fighting the system!" a lot of that all roads lead to rome s*** esp in the contrarion spite filled politics is rooted in that exact same ideology.

  • People talk about Ye like they wanted him to die in the past few years so they wouldnt have to hear about him anymore or deal with his tweets or thoughts. So they could say "he was so troubled I miss the old him"

I understand that i truly do but theres a difference between that and simply trying to find any avenue possible to excuse, allow, permit, and normalize what hes done and this entire 10 years has been defined by a constant cycle of outrage and that exact thing which is why hes been enabled for so long.

CHARLIE KIRK was close to ye but again you are giving Ye a lot of credit for what a lot of those people and movements were already doing. Did he get more eyes on it yes. but just because more eyes are on milo, candace, kirk, fuentes doesnt mean people automatically cosign all of ye's ideas or actions. you are removing a level of free will and human thought . People that suppport the things you list wanted to support them in the first place.
