even for someone in my generation, the closest a***ogue to the type of worship Cudi gets is the now deceased XXXTENTACION. I've heard people say his music saved their life but have no real idea how. maybe its just cathartic, maybe they need someone to dramatize their depression and put pain into music for them to experience and relive the s*** they've been thru, so they can put it in a box instead of having it eat at them all thru their waking day. not even hating, just looking for explanation. I just don't know how these people's music has "saved lives".

Kid Cudi has that high-key "liberal-media" energy where you know the man means well and is a good dude at heart, but he invariably comes off like he huffs his own s*** for breakfast. I love his music, but I've learned from Speedin' Bullet to Heaven before, that anything from Scott Mescudi that comes baked in Kurt Cobain worship is bound to be trash, which is pretty much what he's been on for the past few years now. I still haven't forgotten Flex either; we just switched a bad single for a forgettable one.
