There is a cornel of truth to this, but I hate the way he phrased it in that tweet.
“For years, I’ve just let things slide” like wow, you’re so cool dude. Maybe if someone did something that upset you, just have an honest, non-confrontational, open dialogue about it, and maybe you’ll both end up in a better place afterward because of it. But no, just bottle it up inside, and then give yourself a pat on the back for doing so because you’ve “let something slide”
Idk, maybe I’m being stupid and freaking out over small turns of phrase, but in my experience people who “let stuff slide” instead of just telling you that you’re upsetting them eventually flip out on you for no reason or are pissy and s***, since they didn’t really “let it slide” they just bottled that s***God damn cooked his ass
