@localblaccmane, apparently you were certain i muted you and locked your thread, etc. just wondering why you had that assumption?

i wasn't even involved in the thread at all and i've barely even been on the site today until an hour ago

if people are making assumptions like this we seriously need to clear something up

I made the assumption because I saw that two threads related to the topic of that white woman calling police on they black man were both locked and then I see that you posted a thread about it yourself.

The reason why I make these assumptions are:

    1. You're the head mod/forum owner
    2. I cannot see which mods mute me or lock my threads (a feature I feel is necessary because since KTT1 I've experienced mods picking on particular users. IE: That whole Xavier and What's On Your Mind Fiasco
    3. I know that as a forum owner you are likely trying to maintain a certain image for the forum.

I will not call you out in the forum itself. Infact, any assumption I make of a moderator involved in "foul play" (lack of a better word) I will make in a private Discord server consisting only of former KTT1 posters.

My primary issue is that I don't like how mods are quick to lock threads and mute users who speak out against racist events in the real world. It's something about it that seems...off about it. Especially since rarely do you find them doing anything about the users who derail those threads with off topic strawman arguments. Most users call those people out, but hardly anything gets done about them. Unless you are the one who does something about that.

I'm not gonna tell you how to run your forum. However, you and both know that the black user base on this predominantly hip-hop culture is pretty small as is. And there's a steady growth of new users who I feel we can both agree come from an outsider perspective. Normally they're white, Asian, Middle Eastern, and they don't really understand the black perspective. All I ask, is for us to be allowed to vent more against clear cut issues of racism. And I know, the Black Empowerment Thread does exist, but I have seen that get locked a few times, and users get muted when things got "spicy" when certain users started throwing in their wild takes.

    @localblaccmane

okay, well all i can say to the first part is your assumptions were wrong. also i spend way more time developing the site than moderating, but i'm used to people thinking every ban or lock is me lol

I will not call you out in the forum itself. Infact, any assumption I make of a moderator involved in "foul play" (lack of a better word) I will make in a private Discord server consisting only of former KTT1 posters.

but why? i don't see how this helps anyone/anything at all, especially if you're calling people out in private groups based on incorrect assumptions, and not even just... asking us here? if there are mods doing anything like this (muting users who speak up against racism???) then i'd want to look into it asap. i'm not sure why you wouldn't want to bring that to me.

if you can give me a list of these incidents and threads etc via DM (ktt2.com/messages) i will go through the logs and look at all these actions, look for patters, etc. and if there's anything that could even possibly be a pattern i'll deal with it, talk about it with nuj and others, etc., and let you know.

as for the other stuff, general moderation isn't an easy problem to solve when you have close to 1M posts/month, which is why reporting is important. and btw i looked at some of your recent reports and it looks like posts were removed and users banned or muted from them

All I ask, is for us to be allowed to vent more against clear cut issues of racism

this is allowed. if you think your thread was locked because mods are trying to censor news about racism then again you're assumptions are off. @Electric locked the thread and i'm sure he'll be okay with answering your Qs

if you want to be OP of the thread i made it's not an issue, i didn't make it to have the thread to myself or anything

I locked the thread because it was getting derailed. I don't know who muted you though.

No one is trying to censor racism or locking your s*** cause of your race or because they have a personal vendetta against you. Also if you see racism or people derailing s***, report it because I promise you every report gets handled.

Yeah we really need it to be required that it’s posted who locked/muted someone and why it was done

Some mods are good at this, but Lots of threads seem to get locked very arbitrarily and it’s always these ones where the mod who locked it doesn’t say why or even state that they were the one that locked it

I don't have much a problem with it getting locked, I've gotten used to threads like that getting locked because I know they get derailed often. It's annoying, but if that's the best way to stop thread derailment then I guess it might be for the best.

But the mutes are getting pretty ridiculous. It's getting to the point where some mods will just mute people without a legitimate reason as to why. I see people who do much less than the trolls and s***posters do on a daily basis getting mutes. Now you know that don't make sense my guy.

I don't know for sure but what I'm guessing happened is someone saw the thread title and some of the discussion going on and muted you for it. You gotta admit saying all white women are evil could be taken the wrong way. I feel what y'all are saying itt but as a mod you need to be impartial so whether it's black, white, hispanic, or asian we gotta look at it the same way. It's not about wanting to protect white women or not caring about social justice or black people. Obviously what those women did (one of which wasn't white) is disgusting but y'all were talking like we need to exterminate white women as a whole. I know you don't actually believe that but that kind of talk is still inflammatory.

I get it. My thing is I'm not one to sugar coat something like that, mainly because it's something that's been happening for a very long time, s*** we got Emmett Till to go back on for that. I felt that the content within the OP definitely warranted that title.

My hope was that more people would feel a way about what happened in those videos and the lies told that could've ruined the lives of those men than they would about the title.

I get what you are saying, but I am tired of having to walk on eggshells with these certain kinda users on this site. Sometimes you really just gotta speak the truth. I rather hurt feelings being honest and calling it out, than see innocent people like me get jailed or killed because people don't wanna acknowledge that white women...really do be doing some evil s***

Wow. Love how when Electric say it, it's "I get it" and "I get what you are saying"

But other niggas brought up the exact same points and then it was "Take that somewhere else b", "Shut the f*** up", " You can gladly leave".

Cordial when it's a mod. Aggressive and dismissive when it's literally anyone else.

You really still on my d*** b...you had to go looking for this too. You soft.

  • May 27, 2020

On top of that I actually have known mods like Electric and respect him. You are just a cornball who wanted to cape for white women who might get their feelings hurt over a post saying they do evil s***.

These things ain't the same, and you still don't get why I ain't taking you serious.

Nope. I found this s*** by chance.
Good to know the point wasn't what was important, it was whether or not you was cool with the person saying it. I'm glad you understand what everyone was trying to tell you.
