some of y'all may have only heard him on Face Off with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and others may be more familiar but Omaha's own King Iso is dropping his 2nd album with Strange Music tonight called Get Well Soon

just wanted to add if y'all are hesitant to listen bc of disliking Tech N9ne or w/e Iso is a very different type of artist...give it a chance

lol I live in Omaha, NE so he's a pretty big deal to us around here having gotten signed to Strange and all that...I used to do music years ago as well and pretty sure I was on the same show as him once when he went by his previous name...having heard most of this new album already I can confirm it's great

Aye mentalcase, I forgot to ask you, what were your thoughts on ASIN9NE? I loved it. That was the type of album that I wanted Tech to make at this point in his career. His best solo album since All 6's and 7's, in my opinion.

ASIN9NE was cool...I didn't like the entire album but quite a few songs I f*** with like Face Off, The Herder, I Don't Fit, Too Good, Still Right Here, Take Your Halo, and I Been Through A lot...so basically kind of a mixed bag for me but not his worst effort...in general Tech just kind of bores me now and days personally...he can still spit and deliver on features and whatnot but like his song concepts just don't interest me as much

Yeah, I get it. Do you think that you being bored of Tech nowadays is caused by him dropping albums every single year and not giving us a chance to actually miss him? lol

maybe a little but I feel like he took extra time off between ASIN9NE and the previous album (would have to look at dates to be certain)...I just think he's kind of run out of interesting things to say and sort of just repeating stuff he's tackled before but in a different way...as long as he's been in the game it was bound to happen eventually and dude's getting older...he's also trying to appeal to a wider, more mainstream audience I feel so we don't get as much of the darker, weirder Tech anymore which is what made me a fan of his in the first place lol so while it may not appeal to me he obviously still has plenty of fans who he still appeals to it's just opinion...like I said occasionally he still spazzes the f*** out on features...basically I wish more of ASIN9NE was like The Herder

I imagine it's the Strange Music connection that puts ppl off on here bc otherwise this album's a banger from the production to features to subject matter (concept is mainly surrounding mental health but gets into some other things as well)

Album is dope so far. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but the songs I heard so far are all really good. King Iso never disappoints. You already know he's gonna deliver a high quality album. He's in his prime years of rapping right now, so it's no surprise really.

I wish this thread would get more traffic because King Iso would smoke most of the rappers that people listen to on here, but it seems that me, you, and a few others are the only ones who really f*** with Tech N9ne and his Strange Music artists like that.

yeah ppl think Tech's corny on here and bc of that tend to not f*** with anyone on Strange unless they were fans of them prior or some s***...Mayday and Iso both fire though

Nah he bounced too. Don't know why, but this is what bothers me, cuz tech has a roster of emcees but none will get bigger than him. Closest was Ritz, and he should've went platinum

hard to pick out favorites with an album like this that's so consistent...Window, Today, I'm Okay, Hellthy, Self Destruct, Hypocrite, Big Farm A, and Help Yourself are immediate standouts for me but again the whole album bangs...guess my least favorites might be Under My Tongue or Not Well (the former is kind of cheesy and the latter is a cool track but feels unnecessary especially right after another song where he discusses not actually being okay)
