AvaFeel like the original intention was dale being so uncaring of his duty as a husband and father that an obvious affair would go over his head, also the irony that he believes all these conspiracies but can’t even see what’s happening right in front of him
But what they didn’t intend was for Dale to become the fan favorite and subsequently wrote him as being a lovable oblivious idiot who loves his wife and son and that tanked Nancy’s character in return
