eh, tbf somethings like how Joseph would react to Redcorn being his "real" dad (especially since we lost Dale last year) would be interesting to see.

king of the hill lowkey always have been "woke", if they have long time fans who are younger to add to the lore of the show, I support it.

I always thought Joseph knew Redcorn was his real dad but didn't want to hurt Dale. He mentions it in one of the episodes without it being too obvious.

The "woke" aspects were some of the funniest moments but it was never super heavy handed like todays shows. The audience understood it.

Like this joke is even funnier now considering how emotional young people are today

Do you remember which episode Joseph alluded to knowing that?

There’s no way they can do this.

Unless they getting a great recast for Dale. That voice is legendary

They really shouldn't go this far. The show is set in a red state after all, would be unrealistic to make everyone PC liberals

Hopefully that's not what the tweet meant

I think it was the Thanksgiving episode when he calls Redcorn a cannibal. Joseph and Nancy have a "conversation" and its even alluded when he says "she told me a lot of things" Dale just doesn't catch on

  • Another joke funnier and more relatable today, like this would be too perfect

there are so many funny one liners and scenes i’m surprised there aren’t a bunch of gifs/subtitled screenshots for them

Was eating earlier and remembered being blown away by the realization that women don't have testicles the first time I saw the Purse episode

I mean that was exactly what the original show was about. Many episodes were Bobby doing something ridiculous that was with the times and Hank having a meltdown.

I don’t think it will be heavy handedly woke this time around either. Maybe a little more so than before, but I don’t think they would reboot the show to ruin it completely

Texas now is very different than Texas then it’s just gonna be hard to draw the line somewhere in terms of what will work and what won’t

Remember in the Peggy Big Feet episode when that kid is like “that’s gotta be a dude”

Anyone else would sound like a bad impression like when Family Guy replaced Cleveland. If a voice actor passes or can't come back I'd prefer writing characters out but Rick and Morty recently proved that wrong and showed you can find someone that can mimic the og voice as long as they understand the character enough. Dale is so iconic tho the actor needs to be a top tier fan of the show

I read it somewhere that he already completed recording for a couple episodes of the new season. I think they will still air those and make dale go on a road trip or something. With the time skip it's manageable
