Chatgpt costs billions to operate, is maintained by regular cash injections from Microsoft, but is still nowhere close to be anywhere near profitable. When the tech companies dumping billions into these models realize they haven’t made them more money, the faucet is getting turned off and these tools are going away.

Funny thing is is that there is a major power generation issue in the US. They've been talking about mining lithium in the US for years but there's not enough power generation where they need it. A lot of these rotating power outages you see in areas are because they aren't able to meet the demand that is needed.

How do they expect to power these facilities if they can barely meet current demands now? They aren't going to build anymore coal plants and they refuse to build nuclear.
