the contradictions within MAGA movement are already there even if small between Trump and the more protectionist wing of the national bourgeois, and Elon and Vivek with the Silicon Valley/ finance capital who don’t care about maintaining “muh borders and state”

and even among his base, the petit-bourgeois and bourgeois elements who absolutely benefit off cheaper labor being imported and any societal and legal pressure on undocumented immigrants that will make them easier to exploit and extract surplus value from one one hand,

And his proletariat base on the other who have been getting pummeled since the 70s and especially 2008, and now post pandemic inflation have been told evil immigrants took their jobs and America needs to be more white to restore our “culture” and subsequently American hegemony

just some of them but it will be interesting to see how Trump admin manages all of these and more

The thing keeping together the MAGA coalition is Trump’s demagogic appeal but without that, it completely falls apart

Feel like Trump getting rid of the stop gaps (the “adults in the room”) and going full loyalists is, as it appears at this juncture at least, going to lead to his term possibly being akin to an entire lame duck era.

They were dysfunctional as all Hell last time, this time the wheels are falling off nearly a month before they even obtain power.

This reeks of shifting goalposts and whataboutism—this narrative was about liberals spreading fear about conservative policies, right?
