Seeing a stark contrast in r/conservative over the last week lol. There’s still a solid chunk of them who are just sucking trump’s d*** at whatever he does, but a lot of them are realizing that Trump has no clue what he’s doing and realizing that he’s doing his little experiments at their expense

Ah yes. I remember when the dems marketed “wokeness”. They said “we are woke now, and you are sleep”. That is what happened. It wasn’t a made up term by the right such as “politically correct” and used in place of the N word.

Idk who did it first, but I remember a time when being "woke" was almost exclusive to black culture. That was around 2010 that I first read/heard the term on the fringes of the internet

Over the next few years the term was diluted and used by republicans saying anything left of conservativism was "woke." But what was funny was that some of the "woke" ideas back in 2010 was very anti-government and cia, albeit it was often very anti-white (people who usually ran the government). Super white feminists started using the word now as well.

Now post 2016, it's a bit buzz word causing this long drawn out culture war that was distracting from the 1% taking more money. Honesty, one of the biggest online culture terms outside of memes that bled into IRL.
