Everyone knew this rainbow/diversity capitalism is a schtick and no one should hold companies like google accountable for this shift, but it's really f***ing eerie how these things were such a talking point but are now being stripped away just because trump won. It's looking like Jewish, LGBTQ, and non white celebrations are being hidden from the mainstream again, no one's out talking about black history month at all this year.

Companies go after marketing tactics that fit in with the social climate at hand. Right now the social climate is not favoring things like black history month or diversity, or lgbtq. It doesn't make sense for the Google brand to be pushing that when its no longer in vogue, the value to its been lost. It's not like there's any bill or eo going after mega-corporations for labeling months or days.

The general point of my initial comment on this topic is about how law/policies aren't the only tools brought out by Trump, or really the important one, and we already all know maga is a lot more than just policies. This effects us on a cultural level and even strips the value of company virtue signaling. Our culture is shifting.

the real lesson here is that liberal "anti-racism" was always a cynical ploy to cover up actual racism at the structural level and pander to america's internal colonies which had some increased spending power for a time being. now that its no longer profitable to do so they return to pandering to america's settler gentry which controls the majority of america's wealthy. the market is always what is actually decisive.
