Thanks buddy
Can someone link me an unbiased summary of the bill?
one of the worst bills ive ever seen, legitimately doesnt benefit any political party and reads like rich people looting a dead corpse
haven't seen many "nothing ever happens" posts these days
The “Harris/Trump are the same” posts mostly stopped after the first couple weeks lol

Depends on when the general public feel the full impact of it.
If most of it is later on down the line, they could simply be betting that people will forget by the time midterms roll around.

a bill that explicitly increases electricity bills for everyone in the country is nuts

Unless it’s laid out for them, people will just assume it’s the electric companies themselves, they’ll still pay.

I honestly have no recollection of any of those classic GOP rich people welfare bills leading to any political consequences. There’s so many things that they do in such nuanced ways, and so few people actually pay attention.
The bills that actually have political backlash (ie: Obamacare) are the things that have a singular tangible direct change that even the most uneducated and inattentive people in the country can’t ignore

Planning ahead for when Canada cuts you off our grid for being c***s

statistically there are some areas which were pushed blue in 2020 because of being hurt by bills passed in 2017-2019. they went back red in 2024 however because nothing under biden particularly helped them either.

Were there focus groups done that specifically said it was bills that Trump passed in that first term that turned them off? Or is that just an educated guess?
Cause I feel vast majority of the Trump-Biden flipped districts were mainly a result of 1) his handling of Covid congruent with his administration’s 2) general sense of chaos
You make a good point that under normal circumstances that could’ve been what would’ve been the thought process of swing voters (I don’t think it alone would’ve necessary gotten Trump voted out) but everything took a backseat to Covid that year imo
The energy costs aspect of the bill is just so completely anti-economic, anti-science, and purposefully harmful to the world and the consumer long-term that it’s barbaric

hard to say specifically since correlation != causation but statistically areas that lost jobs and had degraded regional GDP swung to biden, and you can trace that to the bills (i.e. tax cuts and jobs act) but hard to say if they were actively aware of the bill
I knew it was dogshit when they put beautiful in the bill.
I thought how much human death and suffering is about to be crammed in this legislation

No, they kept going by idiotic Communists who either don't care what happens in this country or actively root for the destruction of this country.
