Why are boomers holding on at any job? Greed and selfishness. And I agree that Schumer, Pelosi etc etc gotta go. Just seems to me like we should be in the clear of the concentration camp gates before we get back to infighting
But the border camps were originally created by Obama lol
I thought the reps flipping due to getting signed Trump merch was an onion thing but that is actually real wtf
We need an “event” to correct the course. I won’t go into more details
Midterms we will vote hard

the republicans are terrible. i know that. is there ANYTHING? the dems can do? that isn’t performative ? that has actual effects of delaying or disrupting this admin? or were the lower court injunctions all they can realistically do? i’m not saying this to be mean spirited or to lose sight of who the worse boogeyman is. i’m just kinda bamboozled why they’re so helpless
They are complicit. If they were really about it they would be talking about the project 2025 tracker and going like "look, this is a carefully crafted plan by Republicans that is literally 50 years in the making. The Heritage Foundation wants to permanently install a Republican government, and this admin is their "stars aligned" moment."

https://twitter.com/KamalaHarris/status/1834262479792210160Yeah democrats talked about Project 2025 during the election season.
I don't consider that to be an example of being "about it"
Being about it would mean talking about medicare for all, rent freezes, divesting from Isreal/stopping the flow of US weapons and funding and diplomatic cover at the UN that Isreal couldn't do their holocaust without, and so on, as well as being willing to use the executive office to get as many positive things done for the country with the same fury that Trump is piledriving his way through to do horrible s***.
But we saw in 2016, and 2020, and again in 2024, that the democratic machine abandoned progressivism, working class politics that were also relevant to "trump voters" as well, in favor of milquetoast, capitalist, centrist, pro-cop, virtue-signaling and hollow superpac-donor-dictated politics
It might be time to let go of Kamala because she's not going to save anybody. This isn't a personal attack on you, but a plea for you to stop putting hope in these careerist politicians that are out of touch with the plight of the average person here. Organizations outside the electoral system are a much better place to put your energy rather than praying for a good democrat to get elected (not to say you shouldn't vote for good candidates etc, still vote whenever u can why not)
Sure local politics is still a worthwhile battleground but this must be amidst other movements and causes etc. She wasn't it no matter how much you bought in to it.

So much for wanting to educate folks.
She also gave a very surface level a***ysis that doesn't actually get into the hard hitting points like how much the Heritage Foundation has been involved in legislation that was detrimental to people and workers rights. Or how the founders literally said things like "Our policies won't be popular with the public, so we have to make sure the courts are on our side instead."
So much more s*** that they could uncover and educate people about, yet they're silent.

There were people on this site downplaying Project 2025 and calling it "Dem fearmongering" at the time because of how aggressive and repetitive Harris was with her criticism.

Everything in this screenshot is true (even the pedro comment) except for the fact that they're actually doing as much p25 as possible rn (theyre getting it in, ronald style)
But american public is too dumb to think about think tanks and foundations and s*** like that,
They needed greater campaign promises that spoke to everyday issues from the democrats and they didn't get it.
Meanwhile everytime u hear someone talk about why they're openminded on trump its because "he'll fix the economy"
Simple s***. Dems didn't have that type of populist messaging and they sabotage and sideline candidates that do (Bernie, Zohran etc)
Democrats promises fell flat and people weren't buying that especially in the midst of a genocide that Harris supported.

Do you think the democrats were successful as a party these last 4-5 years?
It's not that hard to have good politics. They're just captured by capital. Why do you think they sidelined Bernie sanders. He's not even that different from them on foreign policy so its not like he threatened much on that end.

Did Biden leave the country/office in a better place than what he inherited in the middle of covid? Would be hard to argue no imo.
