The thing about Vance is that he will always be second rate and he can’t handle it. His line-straddling on politics when being second to Trump which is completely unhinged disallows him from being in any manner as respected as he wishes he was. Everything about him from his manufactured beliefs to his vulgar defenses are made to make him more appealing because he knows at heart he’ll always be that fat kid from Appalachia. Every time he says anything you can tell he has a chip on his shoulder from clearly thinking he deserves better by virtue of being white alone and can’t handle he is hugely unpopular even with the demographic of RW men he is trying to target.

The thing about Trump that makes him work in the eyes of his base (unconsciously) is he f***ing hates them all and ultimately doesn’t care about them or their opinion. I think the trend when announcing layoffs can be very ambiguous depending on the company, but that’s not what I’m talking about with ghost jobs. Hiring is almost always received in the market as a sign of growth, even if it’s misleading
