Of course both will be vocal and nasty when they do something they don’t like. That’s just politics. But this is still great to watch because this is literally what most Americans want, showing respect to your opponents and not divide further at the moment. This moment had many brainwashed in complete disbelief and can’t figure out what to think meanwhile the most loves to see someone so hateful like Trump show support to a Democratic Socialist, when the media has tried to destroy that narrative forever. It’s refreshing. If Mamdani can get Trump to agree at some policies, it’s a win for Americans, especially New Yorkers. They obviously share same love for New York (and probably the same hatred towards Democrats) and if that can connect them, I’m rooting for them working together on things they can at least agree on

Having more time to reflect on it, I think she's gonna attempt a 2028 run.

Her rift with Trump started over being blocked from running for governor. She doesn't want to stay in congress but still wants a higher office. Since then, she has:

• Raised her profile on a national media campaign, creating connections even with liberal media
• Tried to establish herself as a leader of the "America First" faction of the old MAGA base
• Separated herself from issues GOP base has been mad about Trump on (ex. foreign policy, H1B visas, Epstein, etc..)

That long letter she published of her resignation speech was a campaign move to stamp frustrations with MAGA/Trump that she'll fight against later on.
