On paper, this is true. But history and recent history tells us:
    1. America’s motivation with these operations is never to “free” a sovereign nation from a dictator.
    2. Venezuela will not come out of this for the better.

So yes solidarity with the people of Venezuela bc they could be in for a long term future of complete destabaliztion, violence, and further economic ruin.

Maduro being a pos is just great pretext and narrative PR.

That's not at all what I said.

Obviously people don't want to get bombed but there's a huge amount of Venezuelan people who have been oppressed by Maduro and want him gone

If the casualties are kept to a minimum and Maduro is killed or flees, there's a good amount of people in Venezula or who have fled Venezula who will celebrate this.

Things are more complicated than this Venezuelan people vs US capitalist narrative that you're trying to suggest.

    You're right but

The entire country has been destabilized and has been going through a political, economic, and humanitarian crisis for a while

but If they have a choice between getting exploited by US or living under the Maduro regime, alot of them would choose the US option.

I'm getting this sentiment from people who are from Venezuela.

Alot of the comments and people I've talked to have been welcoming a US intervention for a while.

    They can't stand Maduro.

They're already going through hell. Many Venezuelans have already sought refuge in various countries, including the United States.

They don't care about destabilization or whatever is gonna come from US exploiting them.

You could call what I just said garbage but that's how some of them feel.

I get it that Maduro is a bad leader to his people but it's insanity to me that the U.S. can decide to capture him at a moment's notice. So what now, are we going to put him to death or something

This is the ultimatum Trump gave him:

“You can save yourself and those closest to you, but you must leave the country now,” Trump reportedly said, offering safe passage for Maduro, his wife and his son “only if he agreed to resign right away”.

So it's most likely gonna be a life sentence in US prison for "drugs"

But him and Marco Rubio really hate him so I could see him being executed too.
