Bc fraud is happening constantly all over the US and this story is clearly being co-opted by Rs to push racist anti immigrant narratives / create support for military action in Somalia?
Oh yeah I forgot about the Somalia aspect of it. I only saw the number's headlines with weeks going by. You're not wrong with Repub's pushing the anti-immigration messaging.

Especially since it coincides with the Zionist entity (and therefore US leadership) officially declaring support for Somaliland and pledging military involvement
Lmfao the f***ing pettiness

Corporation for Public Broadcasting just shutdown completely too (project 2025 goal), so there’s now even less fight against corporate media brainwashing now
its over
Honestly we deserve nuclear apocalypse
I hope NATO pulls their f***ing card. Honestly this may unite all nations to move on from the US

Hard to see NATO getting into a hot war with the US but I think Trump will p**** out before that
Not seeing a lot of chatter about it but the CDC cutting their recommendations on childhood vaccinations from 17 recommended vaccines to 11 is f***ing insane – Hepatitis A & B shots, covid shots, RSV, meningitis, the f***ing flu shot (you know, the most common deadly disease for children?) none of these are going to considered routine preventative care for children anymore
Insurance companies base their vaccine coverage on CDC recommendations. As soon as they don’t have to pay for them, they won’t
So parents of newborns, who are more than likely up to their ears in medical bills already, are going to have to pony up thousands more to inoculate their kids from infectious diseases that are already seeing a resurgence. I couldn’t hate RFK any harder if I tried

Dudes laugh is so cartoonishly evil
Nothing says getting a Nobel peace prize quite like invading the country of the prize winner, kidnapping their president, and then refusing to help the country until they physically bow down and give you the prize.
What’s the point of the vaccine change? They aren’t getting rid of them or advising against them, they appear to mostly be changing the recommended timetables in which to administer them.
Why? For what possible reason?

Yeah I really can’t explain my rage about this given that I have a 9 month old
However one thing I don’t quite understand is why insurance companies don’t continue to pay for them…it seems like bad business on their part if they’re smart enough to know that the vaccines are actually effective and RFK is an idiot. Since less vaccines will lead to more hospitalizations that cost them WAY more money than paying for a vaccine would. I’m assuming that’s why they always pester me with emails and letters to go get my flu shot every year.
Am I missing something?

Damn dude that’s a f***ing scary ass time to be raising a kid, kudos to you for holding it down
Yeah that’s an excellent question; as it stands currently major insurance companies will still be covering the vaccines based on 2025 recommendations through at least some part of the new year. Same thing happened with the covid boosters, there was a transition window where recommendations changed but payers still agreed to cover the cost fully
I want to say it’s possible that we see a situation where the highest tier of commercial insurance plan offers comprehensive vaccine coverage beyond CDC recommendations? I can’t think of any payer that does so for any care/procedure currently, but it’s possible. Like a Medicaid Part D add-on, but for all ages. I think rollback this most immediately f***s over Medicaid kids
Definitely seems like bad business. From my limited exposure to hospital billing (only worked w/ fam practice) there’s a constant reconfiguring between insurance companies and health system partnerships of how doctors get paid per patient that’s entirely foreign to me; and fee schedules for the cost of different aspects of a hospitalization are decided with the logic of tossed darts
