Hara f***ed up cuz he had to have Shin kill Houken but also make it so Shin would be near death afterwards but this is a bottom tier way of dealing with the problem

If Shin had just been on the brink of death and the HSU and Kyoukai had to fight their way back to HQ instead of the magic BS it woulda been way better

i'm about halfway through season 2 but its tough to get through. They did rinko's personality dirty smh I imagined him on some like sinister slithery snake s*** but they got him acting all outgoing and cute

Was this Zhao arc better than Coalition arc

EDIT: Dam wasn't expecting to write such a long f***ing post

Coalition arc but right now it has the advantage that I was able to binge it all in one go, with the Zhao Invasion arc I had to actually wait for new chapters which made it feel long af and exhausting.
I was actually relieved in the part of the arc where we focused on Yotanwa leading her army against Rozo just because it was a change of scenery. I might have to read the Zhao Invasion Arc again since its finished now but I still feel like Coalition might still win over it.

I gotta take away some points for the whole Kyoukai and Shin revival s*** too cause that was the most unnecessary thing that I ever read in this story, reading that for like... 3 or 4 weeks? was frustrating as f***, especially with the arc being so long already.

Besides all that f***ery I think this arc is actually pretty good just because of how much of Shins development we get to see. It really feels like the whole story so far was built up for this arc, like Chapter 579 was hella special to me, the whole chapter was just Shin giving a speech but I was so proud of how far my boy done came he really grown af now

Like he really did everything this arc from finally being able to hold Oukis glaive to even slaying Houken with it, they payoff from the start of the series to this arc a different kind of special it might not be the best arc but I feel like its a really important one for the HSU

Also had other moments like shousas death that I thought was really well done cause it made me give a s*** about shousa when I can't even recall when he even joined the HSU (Seriously when tf did he join?). Ousen and Rikobus back and forth throughout the arc might have been a bit exhausting but it was cool as s*** too, Ousen trying to recruit Riboku outta nowhere was complete madness, I remember the wait for that next chapter felt like a whole month

Coalition arc has some of the best moments in this manga tho, not tryna discuss all the moments in detail cause theres too many, like Moubu vs Kanmei (might be the best fight in kingdom btw), Yotanwas arrival (dont think we seen here since the start of the manga), the whole Duke Hyou s*** and giving his shield to Shin, everyones reaction to finding out about the coalition, the chapter where everyone was watching Shin vs Houken and my fav in the manga which is Ei Sei's speech at Sai and all the people of Sai crying at the fact that Ei Sei would risk his life for them was just powerful af.

Not saying the Zhao Invasion aint have its moments but the length of the arc kinda takes away from it whenever I think about it, that Kyoukai s*** still fresh in my mind too I will never forget that s*** lmfao

yea the magic f***ery was a real hit to it overall, i guess the impact of it makes that fight more significant but there coulda been some better avenues to go about it

Gotta say no but that mostly speaks to the potency of the Colaition Arc tbh that s*** was impeccable
