It was mostly a joke. However, since you asked...

If you go to the corner store or headshop and pick up a bag of spice you really have no idea what you're smoking. It's just one of any random research chemicals that is dissolved in some water/alcohol/whatever and then sprayed over some random herbs. If I go pick up a bag of methamphetamine it's pretty likely that I'm getting methamphetamine. The purity may not be the best, but that's a different discussion.

Also, I took Ritalin/Concerta/Adderall for a decent portion of my youth. As someone who's done that and smoked meth, they really aren't THAT different. The main difference is in potency and addiction potential. I smoked meth, and it didn't do much for me. I'll never do it again because the high bored me.
