So what I've found out so far is that people are saying it's a airsoft gun (ofc we all knew that), the picture with the policeman could be staged.
Skimming through the comments to find out the city this happened so I can check their news paper.Edit 2: Even the license plate is blurred, suspicious, believed the first two letters were an IC, but checked all the french plates and they dont have any with IC. It could be NC, but the first letter looks too short.
If it's NC then as far as the Wikipedia license plate list goes, they're probably in New Caledonia, a french island, would be weird tho and we cant say for sure since it's only the car.

the letters and numbers on a french license plate are given out in numerical/alphabetical order
the only way to know the department is the small blue strip on the right side
