the best philly cheesesteak is usually from just some random local deli or something. usually otherwise "best cheesesteak" designated places are just tourist attractions. same with like breakfast sandwiches in nyc

Yeah lots of those tourist traps really aren't great. I was very disappointed at Ben's Chili Bowl in DC. It was really not that good and very, very sloppy to eat.
